FRAILTY - Audio
I read Frailty last year when it was first released, as a result my children ended up with later bedtimes for a week or two. So when i got the chance to listen to this on audio, i grabbed it with both hands and ears.
Firstly, the narrator...absolutely perfect, i don't think the publishers could have chosen better.
After reading a book, i wonder sometimes, "what more can listening to the said same book offer"? Well, let me tell you, a hell of a lot.
The narrator brought an extra dimension to it. She brought the characters to full, glorious, technicolour life. It was gut wrenching and heart breaking to listen too. The situations throughout this book are emotionally explosive at the best of times, but listening to it, in the way it was read, truly made my heart quicken, stomach clench and face wet.
If ever there was an example of why listening to a book you've already read is worth it, then here it is!
In short, great narrator, great story, a 5* listen. I can't wait to hear more from both the author and the narrator, who truly does do this book Justice.
